1. According to the rig's torque, push-pull force, allowable minimum radius of curvature, select the appropriate size of the drill pipe.
2. Avoid large-diameter drill pipes connected to small-diameter drill pipes during construction (ie, mixed use of large and small drill pipes) to prevent small drill pipes from being broken or deformed due to insufficient strength.
3. Note that when clamping the drill pipe with a vise, do not clamp the female buckle part of the female connector to prevent the female buckle from being deformed by clamping.
4. Pay attention to the connection of the drill pipe, the pre-tightening force on the buckle should be controlled within 15MPa to prevent the difficulty of shackle due to excessive pressure. Avoid baking joints with fire, reduce the mechanical properties of the joints, (especially female joints) affect the service life. Do not pre-tighten the thread connection swing, grinding the crest of the crest to be sharpened as a result of threading, and creating a ridge on the side, resulting in thread damage to the product resulting in a clasping phenomenon. Without pre-tightening, the female buckle step is not compacted, which can cause fatigue fracture of the male thread root. Under the action of high-pressure liquid flow, the female connector is pierced, resulting in puncture phenomenon, which easily leads to longitudinal cracking of the female connector.
5. Pay attention to clean the male and female buckles before installing the drill pipe, and apply the thread oil (thread oil can not be replaced with other waste oil and inferior pressure oil) to prevent premature wear or damage of the male buckle. .
6. Pay attention to clear the waterway hole before installing the drill pipe to prevent debris from blocking the channel and causing mud system pressure.
7. Be careful not to force deduction. When the buckle is engaged, the male buckle cannot impact the shoulder and thread of the female buckle, and ensure that the male and female connectors are centered. Ensure the coaxiality of the rig's shackle and power head spindle.
8. Pay attention to inspect the wear of various parts of the drill pipe, and identify the cause of abnormal wear:
1) To determine whether it is a sharp hard material in the hole that scratches the drill pipe.
2) It is judged whether the drill guide is scratching the drill pipe.
3) When the depth of scratches on the body part of the drill pipe is 1mm or more in a spiral shape, use with caution. Prevent drill rods from being broken during construction, resulting in greater losses.
9. It is noticed that the drill collar is short-circuited and buckled (wrong fastening, disorderly buckle, etc.) should be replaced in time to avoid damage to the drill pipe thread.
10. Pay attention to the lifting and avoid damage to the male buckle when handling the drill pipe.
11. Be careful not to mix different types of drill pipe, even if it is not a drill pipe produced by the same manufacturer. (Because manufacturers manufacture drill pipe technical parameters, processing methods, used props, different mechanical equipment, machining drill pipe tolerance , tight distance, etc. must be different; old and new are too different, the drill pipe with too much difference in wear degree should not be mixed to avoid construction hazard.
12. It is found that drill rod buckle type has a local small area (about 1-2 buckles, buckle length 10mm) damage, it should be repaired and then used.
13. Be careful not to use the vise to hold any part of the drill rod body so that it will not be pinched and reduce the service life of the drill rod.
14. Using a qualified zinc-based rib grease, butter is not suitable for use as a threaded oil. Insufficient thread grease causes high damage to the shoulder of the joint, which can easily cause the thread connection to “loose” and cause damage to the thread. The absence of thread grease or the use of defective thread grease will cause the surface of the thread to stick and cause hook-up.
